Cool Video: Ski-gliding in Switzerland
:scared:

The skier is wearing the camera, it's like you are doing it too, really awesome.

But probably not a good idea to watch with a hang-over.

I didnt' know people even did this, but I suppose you could do just about any water or snow sport with a parachute if you wanted to.

:wow:

2. Isn't it great?!
Edited on Mon Jan-01-07 02:50 PM by idgiehkt
I'd love to see it on one of those whatchmacallit type screens that the showed the movie Everest on (I hate it when i can't think of the name of stuff like that).

Is it "I-max" or something?

edit: man, it's even better on 'full screen'. That part where he goes off the cliff makes my stomach flip-flop every time.

3. I know, that dropoff...
I went hang-gliding once in Rio, from the top of some mountain and down to the beach near Ipanema. That first few seconds of the ground dropping away so suddenly was just crazy, and this para-skiing one completely reminded me of that.

:scared:/exhilarated

4. I've never done anything like that
I've skied a couple of times but that's all. These people have such balls...I think their brain works faster or differently than people like me. I dated a girl like this once. Once she was roller blading for the first time ever in a pair of really cheap "Barbie" roller blades that belonged to the child of a friend of hers. All of a sudden she takes off down this really steep part of the road that drops for like a mile. She just kind of leaned down and focused and held her position til she got to the bottom, lol, she was on the wrong side of the road and she actually outran a car. She was just fearless. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. I would have made myself fall at the top just to get out of it, my mind kind of panics, but she just looked at it as a challenge.

5. Holy shit.
Looks like fun. Knowing my canopy control, I would have been a red stain on the mountain in the first 100 yards.
