I made many friends who I care about and one friend whom I really really care about.

4. Mine

1) Something positive that happened in 2006

I got a chance to see my mom, sister and brother in April. Went on a week's trip to Las Vegas, and had a small reunion. It was nice to see everyone again, after a three year's absence.

2) Something negative that happened in 2006

Split a 22 year old friendship with who I thought was my best friend. She had become more and more fanatical as a fundie, and went over the deep end (to me) by marrying a guy she'd never met, but corresponded with online and on the phone. I figured she was out of her mind at that point, and found she really didn't care about our friendship anymore. I was right., unfortunately.

Several old favorites echo as earworms--Desert Moon (Dennis DeYoung), Angel (Robbie Williams) and Barrett's Privateers (The Corries)

Didn't see too many theatrical releases this past year, and can't rightly say too much about any of them--however, as a TV fan, I found the new SF series, Eureka, a nice addition to the lineup, as well as the new USA series, Psych. On broadcast channels, I can't say I was enthused by any new shows.

5) Name someone you are tired of

Oh, too many to name! There are so many bad personalities that just personify the ever growing illiteracy in the country. Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Jessica Simpson, Billy Mays obnoxious voice!), Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush, Ann Coulter, Bush, Cheney, Rove, Tony Snow, Donald Rumsfeld, the list is endless.

My friend's mom. She was the glue that held the family together. She would have kept the peace and reined in my friend from going over the edge.

I was drinking Pepsi, but I'm going for water now.

1) Positive: I woke up one morning and found a little kitty cat in the yard, (he managed to slip in the fence despite 6 adult cats and one grown up dog...we are starting to suspect one of our adult males recruits cats and kittens around here into the yard)...anyway, I found he had a hole in his belly full of maggots and took him to the vet and the vet offered to treat him and find him a home. Yay!
2) Negative: probably just about everything else
3) Favorite song: I really don't know, but I liked the stuff by the Killers and Disturbed
4) Favorite Movie in 2006: really don't have one, obsessed about Fargo and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil a lot though. Didn't see any movies released this year

6) Name someone you miss: I miss my family. I realized this morning watching that video "Mama I Died for a Comma" that Elsewhere's Daughter posted in the video forum, that I will never, and I mean never, feel the same way about anyone in my family because of their reaction to this stupid war and to the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. I can't respect or justify it ever, and I realized this morning how heartbroken I am about it still.
