1. I'm taking some down, but not all.

We decorated to the hilt for the party we had earlier this month, so I'm taking down some things and leaving up others. I like my mantel/fireplace set-up so well, I think I'll leave it up for January. The trees will stay up until the Friday or Saturday (Saturday is the Epiphany, but it's also my son's birthday, so I may take the trees down while everyone's at school on Friday).

I'm taking down pretty much everything else today.

5. All of ours came down today

Mr 'pede got the boxes off the shelf in the garage while I was at the grocery. The wreath, bears and toys that go on the mantle are packed away until next year. The doggie had to have a last sniff at each one of the bears. The stockings and tree ornaments went into their box. The assembled tree goes in the garage, too, along with the bigger outdoor wreaths. The chickens and the print of the old Navy warhship Constellation (1854) are back over the mantle.

We're having catfish, coleslaw and champagne for supper.
Country ribs and black-eyed peas tomorrow.
