I am glad you are ok.

You really see the darker side of humanity working in law enforcement. It is hard, too, because, as in every other career, there are bad apples and there is corruption. But, that one corrupt officer can make it hell on the rest of the force, and not just that agency, it projects on all police officers.

People are so volatile. Whether it be a relationship, career, alcohol, or just a plain criminal lifestyle, people just lose control and don't think about their actions. When people can't control themselves, it becomes so much more dangerous for Law Enforcement.

As I was saying, I am glad you are ok. I hope you have some way of venting in your life outside of work to get through this. And, be careful out there.

I do alot of things with my kids and I lift and box, so that takes care of the stress. I am always cautious, but never careful....careful gets you killed.

I know what you mean, though. Vigilant was the word that was used with me. You have to be able to just act, at times, using muscle memory, rather than over thinking.
