234 rushing yards!
I'm so fucking pissed off at the NFL. Tiki Barber has the greatest game of his career in a game that has playoff implications but because of those greedy bastards at the NFL network I can't watch my team. Normally it wouldn't matter because I would be able to watch the game on a local network, but I'm on vacation this week so the only way I could keep up with the game was through the NFL ticker online and SportsCenter highlights. It looks like Big Blue will live to see another week, so I can't complain too much.

1. I hate the NFL network
What bullshit. :grr: They did the same thing with the Thanksgiving Day game between the Chiefs and Broncos. I live out of market, so I was SOL.

Apparently, they were thinking that fans would get upset and rebel against the cable companies for not carrying the NFL network on basic cable, but everyone I've talked to has been pissed at the NFL, not their cable company--so maybe it's backfiring. I hope so.

Greedy bastards, indeed.

2. I think it is too
because the NFL is essentially extorting the cable companies to pick up their network and are charging them an unreasonable sum to boot. I have plenty to be pissed off about cable, but this NFL Network debacle is not one of them. Plus everything I've heard about their broadcast has been bad, you'd think a network devoted entirely to football would have a broadcast team that didn't suck.

I have a feeling that the people will get their way and football will be free and accessible to the people once again (it's bad enough that Monday Night Football is on ESPN...but at least most people in the country have ESPN)
