Where the hell is winter?

Ice fishing season opens in a few days, and the lakes are not frozen over! We've got no snow in southern Wisconsin :shrug:

We've only got one season in Florida anymore. That can get boring real fast.

I was down in Clearwater for a business trip once and it went into the forties at night. Some family without heat in their home used a space heater, which caused a fire, and they died. You hear about that a lot in northern cities, but it surprised me to hear it in the South.

I have a couple dozen hanging from my fruit trees and they bloom regularly without much help. I have dendrobiums, catyleas and vandas. But I'd still like a little change in season. I haven't even had to protect them this year it is so hot.
