1. Me too!
There's a rumor we may all leave at noon - I'll cross my fingers for you if you cross yours for me. Happy New Year!!

4. There's maybe 1/3 of the staff here today.

God only knows why the rest of us showed up.

zzzzzzzzzzz.

I'm going to try to leave between 1 - 1:30 today.

6. I think we have more like 1/4 of the people.
The sales department is all gone with the sole exception of a single secretary. The busiest area is accounting, who are closing out the year.

12. No overtime is good!
I am now raring to go since UPS just delivered my new 19-inch flat panel computer monitor for home. It'll be wonderful to have the bigger screen and the extra space on my desk.

Happy New Year, aA!

7. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
It may be slow today but you know it'll be hell some other day.

Hope you can get out early! :hi:

8. Uh-huh. Unfortunately.
I KNOW it will be hell next Wednesday...when we re-open after the holidays. :-(

I hope your day will be nice and peaceful and quiet.

:hi:

9. Oh man, this whole week has been slow, but today is absolutely the slowest most
hair-tearing out-est day. It feels like I've been here forever. It's so quiet here, it's like being in a library. Although, Tuesday is going to be a screaming nightmare compared to this week.

13. The office has been a tomb all week.
Yesterday, I found An Inconvenient Truth (in 10 segments) on YouTube. I watched the whole film, interrupted by the phone only a couple times. Hopefully there'll be a 3 o'clock departure.

The whole city has been quiet. Pedaling home, I can zip across one road that's always crowded and take a short cut that's otherwise inaccessible.

14. I'm hoping my husband will come home early too.
It's the Friday between Christmas and New Year's - I just can't imagine it being too busy.

He has no appointments, no brokers to see, nothing. I'd love to see him home early today. Here's hoping you get to take off before too long!
