OMFG, the Wii is the coolest game counsel EVAH
:wow: :wow: :wow:

Dear SO got one for baby Zombie Jesus bday, and we've been futzing around with it all day-- we both have Miis created :)

And the new Zelda game is pretty much orgasm in video game form.

Nintendo's creativity is astonishing sometimes.

1. Nice!
I'm still rockin' the classic Nintendo, though.

2. The kids have been playing the sports one all day
Evidentally I got the Zelda game as a present, however, that was one of the three presents that have disappeared (the other two were also to me. hmmmmmmmmmm) before we even left NY.

My 5 year old daughter is AWESOME at bowling. Who knew?

4. The story is, it is in the house somewhere
back in NY, or in his car. He can't "remember" where he put it. I LOVED Zelda on the Nintendo 64.

5. ooo then you're in for a treat
Twilight Princess has been more dark than the others so far, but the graphics and gameplay are truly amazing. Plus you get to play as an uber adorable wolf-form Link! :D

8. i got a game...
Call of Duty 3, but no Wii. So I've got a little more waiting to do before I get one. Any rumors on how many are going to be shipped soon?

9. SO who works at Target says there should be no problem after the holiday season
Your best bet is to keep checking Toys R' Us (who get HUGE 300+ unit shipments) and places like Target, or, if you're willing to deal with the Devil, Wal-Mart.

But things should get easy in a few weeks. Nintendo isn't creating an artificial demand for their system, unlike Sony and the PS3.

10. Question is it worth the 250 bucks to play Zelda on the Wii versus on the Game Cube?
Edited on Tue Dec-26-06 01:58 AM by Hippo_Tron
If I wait I can just get the Game Cube and save a lot of money playing it on my friend's console. I could cough up 250 bucks for a Wii but is it really worth it to be able to swing the sword with the Wii controller instead of playing it on a normal controller?

11. I'm still trying to bag one

I even got the girl kid a copy of Twilight Princess for the Gamecube to tide her over. Not too bad, I paid $60 for it, will get $40 back when we trade it in.

12. Is the Zelda game called The legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess?
If so, my ten-year-old son has been playing that for over a month and loves it. He saved his money, and schemed all over Northern California to locate a Wii and was rewarded for his persistence. He even ordered the the Zelda CD on one of the internets two weeks before he bagged the Wii.

Don't forget to order the new replacement straps if they haven't already been replaced. Son has been informed his replacement strap arrives around the first of the year.

I haven't done much with the machine other then play golf. I'm becoming very good at playing golf. ;)
