Damn, I have to go out today
I just looked in the fridge and we are low on milk.

I wonder how busy Trader Joe's is today.

1. I went to the grocery store earlier today, too.
Not quite the day before Thanksgiving, but busy. Whole Foods is in a retail shopping center. No way in HELL I was headed that way. :scared:

2. Wish we had a Trader Joe's in this town
I know it would go over big!

I remember when the first McD's opened here in '71. People came from a radius of about 60 miles just to get a double cheeseburger

hmmmm...maybe I should look into the TJ's franchise...

As you journey to the land of frenzied last minutes....Be Brave, KW!

8. Truth.
So, maybe you could help us out and invite a few of your friends to come on out here and calm us down. :)

Actually, after this last upheaval, I was thinking it would be nice to buy a house in Stockton or somewhere even smaller and allow my blood pressure to get all low and let the dog run.

Do we have any Shaker communities in CA or any dope smoking communes left? :silly:

7. It actually wasn't too bad out
I went to the furniture store where I bought my dining table and chairs to get a replacement chair leg (one cracked during assembly), not surprisingly that store was dead.

I also hit the CVS to grab a few things, equally dead.

The next stop was the grocery store where I picked up some things for dinner (I have a cold and will be spending the evening here instead of with TommyO's mom and brother and wanted some pirogies with butter, onions and sour cream). I'll be with the whole family tomorrow, so all is not lost holiday-wise. The store was busy, but manageable.

The last stop was at Pier 1 for 200 tealights, again the store was dead.

In all cases I was able to park close to the store entrance and had no problems on the roads at all. Good luck on your Christmas Eve milk-quest.
