I like yours too. I dont know if I have one being a yankee/southerner like geographically I am a southerner but my relatives are yankees and most importantly I consider myself a yankee, politically and culturally because I am more of an urban than rural person not to say southerners are all lovers of rural but I hate the New York Yankees if you wanna piss me off lol be a hardline republican, New York Yankees fan, and maybe 10 years ago, a Dallas Cowboys fan, I used to hate them a lot, now well I laugh but I think Parcells will do good. Sorry for the sports rant.

2. My grandmother was Hungarian
and had the greatest accent. I love to hear the men talk, especially.

It's said a Hungarian is someone who follows you into a revolving door and comes out ahead of you.

31. Did we grow up in the same family?
My grandmother was Hungarian, too! I can still remember how her voice sounded.

For this reason, I never miss a chance to hear speeches by Tom Lantos (D-CA), the only Hungarian-born congressman I can think of.

37. Actually, both my grandparents on my father's side
were Hungarian, but my grandfather died when I was 5. I've heard a lot of Hungarian – my cousins all attended the Hungarian Catholic church and learned the language at Sunday School. I lost out on that. I did travel to Budapest in 1971, before learning exactly where my family was from – a small village in the north of Hungary. I'd love to return and look up relatives.

My mother's father was Armenian, but since he died young, I know little of Armenians, except for an occasional wedding or funeral as a child.

I know quite a few cockneys, and it has to be said I'm not one a great fan of the accent. I like Yorkshire accents but then again I would say that!

Nonetheless, as it is Yorkshire day today I will sing the Yorkshire national Anthem!

but I think my favorite is from Trinidad. A couple of friends of mine are originally from the island, and their speech is so lyrical...it makes me think of a mountain stream.

I love southern accents too...What a shame that it's so easy to associate Southern accents with conservative @$$holes.

i also like the co. cork irish accent.

I don't care if he went on the anti-war march or not, Jamie Oliver is a twat. Living down in Essex as I do I hear far too much of that sort of accent.

On a side note, I would like to mention the wonders of the cornish accent. Now that is one good accent!
