3. I absolutely love his maniacal laughter when he wakes up and
finds out it's still Christmas. Cracks me up every time I see it.

7. I agree
I also love how Sim used his great comedy skills in the role - even before Scrooge's 'transformation'.

He brought so much to that character.

10. Oooh...I should whip it out tonight, too!
A friend and I already had a "A Christmas Carol" evening...but I can't get enough of that movie.

I have a tape (Luddite!) of all my favourite Xmas shows, that I'll watch Xmas Eve...so that'll give me yet another chance to watch it.:bounce:

Just don't wear your preppie clothes while watching it, k? (or did you leave them in the SUV?) :P

13. Left 'em in the SUV, along with the soccer balls.
However, I did remember to put the little dog in my fashionista purse before getting out of the vehicle. :P

6. haven't seen the Scott one
I've become partial to the Patrick Stewart one, and Michael Caine is actually quite good as Scrooge in the Muppet Christmas Carol. Who knew?

22. I also think George C. Scott is the best Scrooge.
Haven't seen the Alistair Sim one for a while though. Should give it a try...

15. gotta go with Albert Finney's "Scrooge"

with Alec Guiness as Marley, you see Scrooge go to Hell, and has that incestuous ear candy "Thank You Very Much"

Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!
That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me
I may sound Double-Dutch
But my delight is such
I feel as if a losing war's been won for me
And if I had a flag I'd hang my flag out
To add a sort of final victory touch
But since I left my flag at home
I'll simply have to say
Thank you very, very, very much!

Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!
That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me
It sounds a bit bizarre
But things the way they are
I feel as if another life's begun for me

And if I had a cannon I would fire it
To add a sort of celebration touch
But since I left my cannon at home
I'll simply have to say
Thank you very, very, very much!

Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!
That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me
It isn't everyday
Good fortune comes my way
I never thought the future would be fun for me
And if I had a bugle I would blow it
To add a sort of 'ow's-your-father touch
But since I left my bugle at home
I'll simply have to say
Thank you very, very, very much

No, my friends, it is I who should be thankful to you!

Thank you very, very much
Thank you very, very much
That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me)
The future looks all right
In fact it looks so bright
I feel as if they're polishing the sun for me

And if I had a drum I'd have to bang it!
To add a sort of rumty-tumty touch
But since I left my drum at home
I'll simply have to say
Thank you very, very, very much!
Thank you very, very, very much!

16. Scrooge played by Patrick Stewart.
I keep waiting for him to yell "Arch!", or for the scene to switch to the bridge, where Geordi and Wesley desperately try to fix the holodeck malfunction.
