My problem .... I like "Triscuits" but loath Rachael Ray.

One of the best mass produced products is "original" triscuit. The ones with
plenty of salt ... they are awesome ..... a little bit of "County Line" Swiss cheese
and some good salami or a crab dip with a little wine and I was a happy camper.

But now those bastards of an international corporation have put the anti Christ
on the box ....... aka Rachael Ray.

I used to like R squared but now she seems like low carb diets, power walking, i pods,
and mega church's Jesus. Just one more "unit" with which to market "crap" to us
with. Is she not the "Wonder Bread" or "Kraft Mac n Cheese" of cooking now?
If the price was right i think she would spread horse poop on toast & market it
as "Country Style, Apple Butter."

Am I, "Sticking it to the man," by not buying trisuits or am I stopping my taste buds
from having an old school "dance party" in my mouth by not buying 'em?

I will not buy Ritz crackers or Triscuits or the new Rachel Ray brand of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) that I saw in Lowe's Foods this week. Call me petty.

If I get a coupon (from using my store savings card) with her face on it it goes into the trash.
I don't hate her, I'm just sick of the hype so I won't buy into it anymore.

When I was in the store buying stuff for chili I was going to get crackers, but she was on every freaking box! I used to like her, but her constant "totally awesome"s, "EVOO"s, and the worst of all "Yum-o"s makes me want to puncture my eardrums. The bleeding has to sound better than her voice. So, did I buy crackers with her stupid little picture on the box? No. I went with Keebler Townhouses. Not what I wanted, but I would rather not have to look at her in my kitchen.

I do like Rachael Ray, but I can't stand a few things that she says/does:

1. "Yummo." Yummo is stupido.
2. "EVOO - extra virgin olive oil." Say one or the other. You do not need to say both. If you follow the acronym with an explanation of what it means, you haven't really saved any time or breath.
3. The infamous garbage bowl. I just keep the actual garbage can next to me while I work with messy stuff.

10. The garlic Triscuits need no adornment

You can eat a whole box of naked Garlic Triscuits in one sitting and not even be aware that you've done it until you reach in and--OOPS!.

However, if you insist on dressing your Triscuits, the garlic variety does taste pretty good with a little dollop of cream cheese on them.

a ittle butter and you're in business. alas, for some reason, Triscuits and other boxed crackers are a delicacy out here, affordable only when they're on "special" (i.e. for one week, you can have them at the regular mainland price).

Is the Perky One's picture on all the different boxes, or just the original? I sure hope not! I'm still not over her $40-a-day thing in New Orleans, where she hopped off the (pre-K) streetcar to look at "the fabulous architecture along St. Charles Street." Um, Rach, that would be Avenue... :grr:
