Any northern DU'ers see the Aurora?
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 08:09 PM by nytemare
I heard that residents in the northern US would be able to see it, due to the solar storm, but, alas, I am in Florida.

1. Too cloudy,
But I love the northern lights. I used to watch them when I lived in northern British Columbia.

2. I want to take a trip to Alaska so I can see them.
Haven't gotten a chance to see them, yet.

5. We saw them in Alaska!
The great night clerk in the hotel called us, around 2:00 am and it was amazing. Could not photograph it, of course and, really, one has to see the weaving and the way they move across the sky.

I've heard that only Michigan had clear sky where it could be seen.

4. Too much light pollution here.
I looked, but the city lights were too powerful. I love the city, but I do miss clear skies.

7. It's amazing that just a few miles out of the city, you can see the stars better
I live in Orlando, maybe 4 miles out of downtown, but a few more miles out, and the stars are shining and twinkling.
