Is there any form of Zicam that isn't completely nasty?

1. Zicam, zicam...

Is that related to this Africam I've been hearing about? :silly:

Honestly, I've got Zicam in my "cold drawer," but it's the last thing I like to try. It's not the nastiness that gets me, just the idea of getting it up in my nose. Doesn't seem right to me...

3. I'm not using the gel swab. I'm using the Rapid Melts. Cherry flavor.

Let's just say their definition of "rapid" is not the same as mine. Nor is their definition of "cherry flavor."

Equally nasty are the "strawberry" chews. And the spray.


But I really cannot afford to get the severity of the cold my children have been suffering from.

4. I'm guessing that they don't use quotes when describing their flavors?

I've never done those, but then, the only tasty cold medicine I can recall were the old Luden's cherry lozenges, which I believe had no real medicine in them anyway.

5. Only use the ZICAM gel swabs here

not bad, no aftertaste, and they work. And always use Airborne as well. I like the lemon-lime flavor.

2. try the nasal gel

It's sort of icky but the ick only lasts for about a minute.

And it works really well.

6. I used the spray

it isn't like a typical spray, you don't aim it up your nose, but toward the outside. You have to hold your nostrils shut for thirty seconds or so, and DO NOT sniff it up, read the directions, they are pretty specific. Stopped my cold in it's tracks! Good luck :hi:
