Have you ever experienced New Years in Detroit?

Everybody gets their guns out and fires them in the air {I hope, I actually have no idea where they are firing them}.

I am not shitting you. It is like this every year. It has sounded like a war zone for the last 50 minutes.

I've been here since 1989 and it freaks me every time.

Some of my earliest memories are that of staying away from the windows and hugging the hardwood on New Years.

Not the mention Devil's Night and tanks rolling down the street in front of my house.

It's TRADITION.
