4. I keep it real simple
I just get presents for my mum and brother. My dad never gets me a present nowadays since he remarried (he has new family now :eyes:) so after a few years of non-reciprocation I gave up buying presents for him. I never knew what to get him anyway, so I just send him a card instead.

My weekend was ok. Found out on Saturday that I can use the trade-in value of my car to settle the finance, so early in the new year I will be getting a new car I think. Also went into town and found that there was a market on, with fairground rides and stuff. I took a couple of pictures and posted a thread about it:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=5928815&mesg_id=5928815

Yesterday wasn't so great, I didn't feel so good, so I stayed in and did some things with my computer.

5. I saw those pictures
they are pretty cool.

I stayed home yesterday as well. But I did some stuff Saturday. It felt good to do nothing yesterday.

I only need Christmas presents for my mom, her bf, my brother, my two grandmas and my closest co-workers (we always give each other a small present for Christmas).

13. Sorry to hear that
you weren't feeling well yesterday. Hopefully today is better.

Also sorry to hear about your dad. Some parents just check-out like that sometimes. I haven't spoken to my dad in at least four years. No animosity, it's just best that way.

Car purchasing is so stressful. It's something that I should be seriously thinking about, but I keep putting it off. It's so necessary to have a car here. Ugh!

11. I guess, technically
yes. I only exchange gifts with my two best friends. One present is bought, and the other friend, well, I'm giving a donation to her favorite charity in her honor.

Went to a Cajun Christmas party Saturday night. Had a agreat time and ate far too many wonderful foods, but I don't care.

Seems like everyone took Sunday off. I did stuff around the house and prepared an appetizer for an after work party.

And Christmas time is definitely not the time to start a diet :)

I was lazy yesterday. Saturday I went downtown and a friend and I had some food and Glühwein at the Christmas Market

Edited on Tue Dec-12-06 03:18 PM by puerco-bellies
Ali, (My GF) won't let me buy her one. She wants me to make her gift. I was waiting for a NICE piece of Kingman Az turquoise I've already ordered to arrive. I do need to get started on the setting or I'm a dead-man. Last year she wanted a painting (I dabble in Chinese Water colors) but I got her a store bought gift.. bad decision. This year I will not make the same mistake!

On edit: I intended to reply to the OP.

:D

But I am the same. I barely have any wishes. Last year I had a big one and I got what I wanted. This year I have no special wish but I am sure my family members will come up with something I like. Books are always a good thing :D

24. Hi MHC,
to answer your question: no, i have not completed my x-mas shopping.

i am probably the only Mother of an 11 yr old boy who is too disinterested in x-mas to even compose a short list of wants.

i have a few ideas and i have bought of a couple of things already, but it is difficult without his input. :hi: :)
