What kind of music do you think the Chimp likes?
Montavanni, perhaps? ABBA? German military music?

I think he digs The Monkees.

Here we come, walkin'
Down the street.
We get the funniest looks from
Ev'ry one we meet.
Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We go wherever we want to,
do what we like to do
We don't have time to get restless,
There's always something new.
Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We're just tryin' to be friendly,
Come and watch us sing and play,
We're the young generation,
And we've got something to say.

Any time, Or anywhere,
Just look over your shoulder
Guess who'll be standing there

Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

(Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart)

3. this is actually an interesting question....
...I recall Clinton was sort of a rock fan, and also played sax, so we can assume he liked jazz. I know Hillary was a Fabian fan when she was in High School.

....so I am a bit curious as to what sounds Bush is into.

... they named their daughter after one of her songs. :)

Fleetwood Mac, too.

26. The Judy Collins version of the song
President Clinton cites (Judy) Collins' "Colors of the Morning" as his favorite album and also says it was her version of "Chelsea Morning" that inspired the naming of his daughter.

31. i.e. Asshole from El Paso...???
('course, the Smirkos might prefer "They Don't Make Jews Like Jesus Anymore"...)

We don't have no lovin's in el paso
We don't go to porno picture shows
We don't swap our wives with our neighbors
And we keep our kids away from mexico.

And i'm proud to be an asshole from el paso
A place where sweet young virgins are deflowered.
You walk down the street knee-deep in tacos
Ta-ta-ta-tacos
And the wetbacks still get twenty cents an hour.

We don't wipe our asses on old glory,
God and lone star beer are things we trust.
We keep our women virgins till they're married
So hosin' sheep is good enough for us.

17. Early Beatles
Edited on Thu Jul-31-03 09:35 PM by SummerGrace
Al Gore is certainly not alone in being a Beatles fan. George W. Bush also claims to be a big admirer of the Fab Four - though I could find no quotes from him describing their gestalt. He enthuses about how much he enjoyed their music in his youth. (Which as we now know stretched past his 30th birthday.) However Bush does add a caveat to his appreciation. "I liked their early stuff. They did some good records. But then they got a bit weird. I didn't like all that later stuff when they got strange."

Edited on Fri Aug-01-03 01:47 AM by Dover
better known as

Don't Rain On My Charade

I'll march my armies out
I'll beat my drum
And if I'm found out
No turning back sir
I really had to fake it
drat sir
I guess I didn't make it...

I gotta lie once
I gotta cry once
Only can die once right sir?
Ooh, life's so juicy, juicy and you see,
I gotta have beer lite, sir.

Get ready for me world, 'cause I'm "the dumbya"
I simply gotta march, until it numbs ya
Don't bring around the press to rain on my charade,

I'm gonna live and live NOW!
Get what I want, I know how!
One nuke for the whole shebang!
One nuke that bomb will go bang,
Eye on the target and wham,
One shot, one gun shot and blam!
Hey, Mr. Who-sane, here I am ...
