Had to write a new company email policy for work today - People Are Idiots

so, i'm working from home due to the vehicle being in the shop. idiot #1 sends a chain-letter email to the ENTIRE COMPANY :eyes: . It is the one where if you send this on to everyone in your list, Bill Gates will pay you a BRAZILLIAN dollars! :eyes:

like THAT isn't as old as the Internet Tubes themselves.

Soooo, I start an email back to him telling him (as politely as possible) that he is 1 hamburger shy of a happy meal, when idiot #2 thinks that if HE sends it to THE SAME DAMNED EMAIL LIST, HE will be rich beyond his wildest dreams. :argh:

The difference between idiot #1 and MORAN #2 is that #2 gets REALLY greedy and includes some of our Vendors on HIS list. :grr:

Well, what happens next? One of the damned VENDORS blasts it out to the entire company AGAIN!! :eyes:

Sooooo, matcom shoots a nasty-gram to the entire company essentially telling them that the castrations shall commence upon my return in the morning and then is forced to spend time crafting a company-wide BUSINESS email policy that they all must now sign to receive their next paycheck. :eyes:

it is against policy where I work, but I get these damned things 20 times a day...especially the ones that say you will have something really GOOD happen to you if you pass it on to a brazillion people and something HORRIBLE will happen if you don't. I delete them.

..circulating (probably before most DUers were even out of 1st grade) I tried to explain to a co-worker it was a hoax. I saved his email reply for years...just to chuckle every now and then...because he fired off a nasty one back, telling me I had the problem--because I simply did not have the ability to believe there were good things that could happen to people!

Some people are just beyond hope!!
