It's not hallucinogenic. That's hype. However, it is a very different intoxication than alcohol. Very clear-headed. I know why artists and writers like it. Most productive night of my life ever: absinthe and cocaine.

I once held an absinthe weekend with friends. It was an insane and beautiful thing.

Technically, it can get confiscated but it rarely happens.

I've ordered it once over the internet without problems, and taken it back from Europe twice. Customs just views it as an other liquor, if you fly in with it.

59. I have known my share of skinny guys

who got fat on coke. I used to bartend at a bar where we worked three days a week, by ourselves, doing 12 hour shifts. I'll admit I had my moments at around 1:00 am where I needed a little "help", but it never became a full on addiction for me. Never bought it or wanted to buy it, there was always some around. Never craved it, either. But some of the other bartenders were coke heads, and they were far from skinny. I don't know if it's a combination of the drinking that goes along with the coke in that environment or what it is. But the 2 coke heads on staff got very large. One even got man-boobs and a customer congratulated him on starting the "transition".

I have however, watched a person shoot up. It was interesting to watch.

Meth was only fun for me the first couple of times, and then once or twice after discovering that I didn't get as sick when I snorted it instead. The rest of the times I just felt like I was putting off the inevitable misery that always ensues after a meth binge. I don't regret any of my drug experiences, they all have opened my mind or changed me in some way. :D

46. I used to be close friends w/ cooks.

(Not because they were but because we'd known each other for years.) They shot up on a regular basis. Interesting to watch but nothing I'd ever try.

I snorted for the boost. I worked a couple of jobs and sometimes wanted to dance all night or even just clean my house. Since I never had to pay it was perfect for me. I never did it often enough to really get hooked.

And coming down from meth was horrid. I noticed that getting high first did help a bit but left you totally confused for an hour.

remember in high school buying some joints from this girl who was always baked to a crispy crunch.

whatever the hell was in those joints put me so far out I don't know how we even made it back to school and no pot has ever affected me like that. Several things like that.

Once my sister's boyfriend gave me this huge pill and said it was a quaalude and of course, having taken many many quaaludes I knew it wasn't but stuck it in my pocket. Then wandering around Oklahoma City one night drunk and high, I just popped it in my mouth. I have no idea what it was. I don't remember the rest of the night. I remember going to my friends wedding the next day and I could see two of everything for hours. It cleared up of course. Then it was on to the next thing.

It's amazing how easily I lived from one day to the next without really worrying about anything but the next thing to get off on. Now, I have to work not to worry about things.

for those apprehensive about breaking the law who are interested in experiencing near equivalent highs for lots of drugs, I'd recommend checking out the legal herbal highs available at www.everyonedoesit.com

I'd recommend the "explode" product for ecstasy and the psychedelic e-caps for a moderate shroom-like experience. The other e-caps meant to simulate other drugs are bunk from my experience as is another ecstasy mimic I can't remember the name of. Some that look interesting aren't legal in the US unfortunately (but at least this demonstrates that the proprietors here are vigilant about complying with the law so you won't get in trouble - not that you would anyway as customs would just intercept it and send it back). I've never had any problems.

We ended up walking from downtown Brooklyn, over the Brooklyn Bridge, all the way to Christopher Street. When we hit the midway point of the bridge, all of a sudden these huge Phoenixes were imprinted on most of the buildings downtown. I'm now 33, and the last time I did X was probably 29 and after I was done I new that I was too old to do that drug anymore.

I've tried just about everything once, except heroin. Don't even have the curiosity to even try it, especially after being in my line of work for the past 2 years.

But be safe and have fun if you do. I wouldn't go near the heroin, in my opinion. At least on X you can be high and having a good time for 6 hours.
