You know what I mean. They have their actual name, and then they have the name you call them.

My kitten's name is Prince Charming. So named because he's quite regal looking and he has a very ingratiating personality.



But then, having a 6-month old kitten around the house, I very naturally started calling him Boogerhead, because, well, he's a bit of a boogerhead.

Abbott (on the right) is his actual nickname. On his vet papers his given name was actually Abbie (like Abbie Hoffman, who he was named after). But my cat was such a dork and getting into stuff he wasn't suppose to get into I started using Abbott. Plus people thought that Abbie was a girls name. Of course everyone now thinks I named him after Abbott & Costello :grr:

51. aw i'm sorry. We had one that was originally "the class pet" and the teacher asked

us if we would like to have him to live out his twilight years at our house, i didn't want him but my daughter begged me so i said ok, well Patches was 5 at the time and i thinking maybe 6 months or so and wouldn't you know it he lived until he was 9. What got me was i didn't even want him and when he died i cried for days, i even knew that when he got sick that last time that he wasn't going to make it. they really are great pets, i knew nothing about them until we got Patches.

I took him to the vet to have him disposed of humanely and then we went into the pet store, it's a really neat one, family owned, families pets hanging out at the store, i see the owner and he asked where Patches was, i told him and he actually cried and then through his tears he showed us unnamed male guinea pig that needed a good home, "He's a little wacky that one but you 2 are really good caretakers and i would like to give him to you" and thats how we got Bob.

This is Crooks. I have the tendency to call him Yeux.. as in the french plural for eyes. Started out at Crooked Eyes, then transitioned to Crooked Yeux, before settling on Yeux.



This are my little gals. The buff one is Beatrix, but she goes by Buffins. The grey one is Prudence, but she goes by Puffins. It started with Puffins because she has this very puffy, course fur.

Tigger had used up six of his nine lives by the time he was two or three. I always considered every year for him after that to be Special Bonus Time.
