1. Once Around the Block - Badly Drawn Boy

2. (c) Kauai

3. Price is Right - Mainly because my great aunt won a Cadillac on it in the 1970's and also because I hate Pat Sajak.

4. Sadly, my father. Vietnam vet. You just never know how that crap will affect you decades later.

5. Both. It depended on the year. My first sneakers were with laces, but I got some velcro ones when they became popular.

8. Hamburgers well done. I am too afraid of bacteria. Steaks I will eat medium rare.

9. My housemate and I threw a huge, raging party. We had about 2 cases of Champagne and tons of assorted alcohol. It was really awesome. We had tons of fun. We threw Y2K fears to the wind and decided that if the world was going to end, might as well go out having fun.

3. Better game show: The Price is Right or Wheel of Fortune?

The Price is Right

4. Out of everyone in your family, who would you vote most likely to one day flip out and go on a homicidal rampage?

6. What moment from 2003 will you remember most fondly?

There's been great moments with each of my children- my daughter getting out of elementary school and getting tons of awards, my oldest son winning an art contest, my second just started reading very easily on his own, and many more that I'll think of later. A few wonderful moments for me too, but there less easily pinpointed into a particular moment.

I know what I should say, and I probably would save my dog, but my dog isn't the nicest dog, so I'd hesitate just for a moment.

8. How do you like your hamburger, generally (even if you no longer eat meat) rare, medium or well-done?

well-done always for hamburgers

9. What were you doing on New Year's eve, 1999?

The same thing as I'm doing tonight- nothing!

10. Have you ever actually kept a New Year's resolution?

Yes, last year I resolved to lose all my baby weight in addition to my Freshman 15 X 2 weight, and I've lost all the baby weight and I'm almost halfway through the other stuff.

28. My answers

1. If you knew you were going to die in the next 5 minutes, what song would you want to listen to before you departed this earth?

I have no idea--there are so many to choose from. It would take me more than 5 minutes to make up my mind.

2. Which is the best island in America: (a) Rhode Island; (b) Long Island; (c) Hawaii; (d) Manhattan

The only one I haven't been to is Hawaii: it's probably the best one due to the climate, but I do love Manhattan.

3. Better game show: The Price is Right or Wheel of Fortune?

Wheel of Fortune.

4. Out of everyone in your family, who would you vote most likely to one day flip out and go on a homicidal rampage?

My family is pretty "normal" so I'd say nobody.

5. When you were a kid, did you have sneakers with laces or velcro straps?

Laces. Velcro hadn't been invented yet.

6. What moment from 2003 will you remember most fondly?

When I first met Grace, who would soon become my new parrotlet. Or shaking hands with Wes Clark. Or one particularly amazing time with a f*buddy 15 years younger than me.

7. If both your house and your neighbor's were on fire, and you could either run into your house to save your dog/cat or run into your neighbor's to save $100,000 locked in a chest, which would you save? Please note that if you save the money, you receive 10% of it.

The animals, of course; living beings are much more "valuable" than money. (In my case, it would be my bird.)

8. How do you like your hamburger, generally (even if you no longer eat meat) rare, medium or well-done?

Medium-well. No e.coli, thank you.

9. What were you doing on New Year's eve, 1999?

I don't remember. Probably hanging out with my boyfriend (at the time) at home.

10. Have you ever actually kept a New Year's resolution?

I don't make them.
