oh boy, when the Hawks were in the AFC west, they were the whipping boys of the Chiefs/Bronco's...especially the Bronco's....:D

7. I know. Not tonight, though!
As an aside, I hope the Broncos player with the neck injury will be okay. I hate seeing players get hurt, regardless of which team they play for.

I didn't know about the injury...I usually don't watch all of the Hawk game, because I can't take the nail biting of it...its just one of my quirks. I hope whomever was injured, recovers quickly...:D

18. I think they said later that his trip to the hospital was just a precaution and
that it looked like he had a neck sprain. It might keep him out a week or two, but is apparently not as serious as it looked at first.

Edited on Sun Dec-03-06 11:41 PM by petersond
the Seahawks vs the Bronco's....its an old rivalry game...well, I lie, its an old beating game...the Bronco's usually end up kicking the Hawks teeth in, but tonight the Hawks pulled it off....I about lost it when the Bronco's scored on that 77yard run, to tie the game with about 2:22 left in the 4th...

on edit:oh shit, sorry about my misspelling! please forgive me, it was suppose to be dear, not dead! I swear!...

the thing that stood out about Shaun is how well spoken he was. In interviews he was so articulate. But then he was from Louisville, KY and not Backwater, Bama.

22. Well, as a Broncos fan, I can't quite share your excitement :)
Yeesh. What a frustrating game that was. But I've got to give it up to Hasselbeck for keeping his poise at the end when he had had a pretty rough go in the early part of the game.

At least my other team won this weekend ... but, then, I know you can't share my excitement about that, pertersond ;)

24. For awhile there, it seemed the game would be one of "punt-away"
given that neither team could do much with the ball for the longest time.

BTW, what was the name of the player who was taken off the field on the cart? I'm glad that it appears he was not badly hurt, but for the life of me, I cannot recall his name.

27. Al Wilson was the player
He's kind of the heart and soul of the defense--not always the one making the tackle, but always the one rallying the troops.

It did look like a punt-away game. Both offenses were struggling so bad--the last Broncos TD was sort of a fluke play, and the Seahawks definitely got a lot of help from Broncos turnovers. Oh well, though. Broncos still have a shot at the wild card :eyes:

What's Seattles playoff picture look like after this game? Did they clinch the division tonight?

I think you are right, they haven't updated the standings yet, via my link...but St. Louis/Niners are floundering, the Hawks should take the division...its the playoff's that are looking rough...the Bears/Saints look very dangerous...

31. I was just looking at the standings on the ESPN website.
Doesn't look like anybody clinched. Maybe that won't happen until next week. Seattle is ahead in their division, up by three games over the Rams.

And thanks for the name of the Broncos player. I know the talking heads said it, but mostly they talked about him being the "heart and soul of the defense" so that's mostly what I remembered.

26. Yeah, yeah...
Big 12 was again mediocre this year...to bad you lost Adrian P...he is a great runner, and if he recovers, he will be a great runner again...I loathe OU, but I do recognize talent when I see it, and AP is loaded with it.

Damn, all of the teams I was pulling for saturday lost! I couldnt' believe it...I was pulling for usc, arkansas, nebraska...and they all blew it...but at least my team won today, it was a nail biter...I kept popping in/out of the hawk/bronc game tonight...when I saw that 77yd scamper for a touchdown with 2 minutes plus left, I figured my Hawks were going to choke...

Being a hawk fan, is sort of a stigma...I'm so use to losing, and losing badly, that at times I find my lack of confidence is wavering! Damn, for most of last season, I figured the hawks win streak was nothing but flukes, but then they started beating teams, they should've had a hard time beating, and then I got my faith restored! Finally one of my teams can win, and be consistant!....:) Seems like the Hawks are going back into stride, and Shaun/Matt will only get better as the season progresses...

But as far as the NFL goes, I think the sleeping teams are...AFC-Ravens, it seems everyone is overlooking these guys, although they got a great record....and NFC-The New Orleans Saints...these guys look very dangerous, especially their offense...whew...

40. Atlanta is my baseball team
Because Dale Murphy was my hero when I was a kid. They sucked back then, but that's when I became a fan. I've wavered in the lsat few years, though, as I've just kind of gotten tired of them always winning the division (well, until this year). You have to have some down years here and there to really appreciate the highs, you know?

College basketball: Oklahoma ;)
NHL: Colorado Avs
NBA: Nuggets x( (though I'm not really a huge NBA fan--I much prefer college basketball)

What are your other teams?

42. hmm
Baseball-Mariners, and anyone who beats the Yankee's...

Football-Seahawks

College Football-anyone who beats OU, and I'm starting to garner a dislike for the Fighting Irish...I see a lot of bias towards this team....

College Basketball-I favor the Kansas Jayhawks...

NHL-The Vancouver Canucks, but the Av's are my second fave, Roy was awesome...Sakic, Forsberg, and Bourque(he finally won!)...

NBA-Sonics, and the Sacramento Kings...

I like the Braves...back home, the only two channels that carried sports was WGN/TBS, so I saw a ton of Cub/Whitesox/Braves games...btw, I got Dale Murphy's card in my collection(its his 8th year card, nothing fancy)....
