I got fired today, no great loss - relief on all sides.

Started Monday, first official warning Wednesday, Last written warning yesterday, Marching orders today. I finish up next Friday.

Can anybody beat that ?

2. I once had a job for just about the same amount of time
as a receptionist in a podiatrist's office. I wasn't very good and the doctor's I suspect took me on in desperation. I was gone after only a few days. Just as you say, there was relief on everyone's part.

6. I'm just finishing up my notice period.
It's going to be an uncomfortable week but the boss and main protagonists are on leave next week.

It sounds like bullying in reverse!

7. Yep, my husband's last good job
Company got sold, new owners came in on Friday and said "don't worry, you all still have jobs for at least 90 days while we transfer holdings". Monday morning the door was locked and a notice posted saying they were all fired.
