I have a primitive-style miniature tree I’ve put on the baker’s rack in my kitchen. I’ve hung tiny cookie cutters on it and thought it would be nice to also use cookies as decorations. Pillsbury has gingerbread cookies already cut out. I bought some, baked them (after putting a hole in the top to hang them later) and decorated them. They were left to dry for a couple days before I threaded ribbon through the holes and hung them on the tree.
The next morning I come into the kitchen to find 8 gingerbread bodies all over the floor. The heads, still attached to the ribbon, were hanging where I hung them on the tree. The kitchen had become a war zone and the cats looked at me as if to say “we didn’t do it!” And they didn't considering there's no room for them to jump up on the rack.
Unfortunately, I cleaned up the bodies and forgot about photographing the carnage. So much for my bright ideas. Oh, and I took the heads attached to the ribbons and threw them away too. I'm not THAT sick..
