Buy A Dog! (Cute puppy pictures included)
If you want someone who will bring you the paper without first tearing it apart to remove the sports section

Buy a dog.

If you want someone willing to make a fool of himself simply over the joy of seeing you

Buy a dog.

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never says its not quite as good as his mother made it

Buy a dog.

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour, for as long and wherever you want

Buy a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't give a flip about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies

Buy a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores

Buy a dog.

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually

Buy a dog.

But, on the other hand, If you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness...........

(You thought I was talking about men didn't you!)

4. Don't go messin with cats

My cat always greets me at the front door and he'll actually meow when I call his name (Abbott).

Dogs leave hair EVERYWHERE - don't fool yourself about that one

Dogs also can't poop/pee on their own and usually will come get you at the most inopportune time to make you drag him/her outside so they can go to the bathroom. My cat can go to the litter box and all I need to do is clean it up once a day (although he can go 3 days straight in the box without any issues).

I'll take a cat any day of the week. My Abbott is the most adoring pet you can ever have!!!!

5. Yeah, but cats can't pull for sh*t...
:)

Aw, I dig on cats, I just can't have 'em 'cause I'm allergic.

FWIW, though, my dogs poop and pee on their own schedule, having mastered the Pickwick Dog-Operated Door.

Look, even non-huskies can figger it out:

This door may be the coolest bit of engineering in my house. If you can imagine it, there are two sets of hinges, one that swings the whole door one way, and a second set mounted on the "frame" that swings the plexi the other direction. Everyone who sees the thing in my house wants one!

9. I like cats, too...
We have 4 of them, in fact. When it comes to love, though, it's always on their terms.

Misty and Heidi are always ready to lay next to me with their head in my lap being rubbed.

6. Dogs have been hanging around with people since the Stone Age.
I read something about the earliest domesticated dog's remains being uncovered at an archeological dig... somewhere in Russia, I think. They're 14,000 years old. :)
