Will they be able to see the footprints of the guy who talked of one giant step for mankind? Sheila Jackson Lee wants to know.

They can't tell Mars from the moon. Fucking tragic......See, THIS is why "LIEberals" want to spend more money on education than on defense.

2. Know what cracks me up about Free Republic?
It's based in Fresno, California. If it's not the armpit of the U.S.A., Fresno is certainly the armpit of the Golden State.

Jackson-Lee did indeed, back in '97 or '98, ask whether the Mars Pathfinder would be able to go and see the flag left by Neil Armstrong.

They're making fun of her.

On edit: Here's a link.

Cripes, now that's pretty dumb too.

Even for a congresscritter. :-)

Maybe she was too close at the time to DeLay, and DeLay's stupidity rubbed off on her?

On edit:

Just noticed Jackson-Lee is from Texas, so that IS too close to DeLay! :-)

6. Alas
Alas, Sheila Jackson-Lee is a Democrat from Texas. Oh well, we can have stupid moments too.
