Strong? According to a buddy in the State Department who was there, George Sr used to bring both Barbara AND his girlfriend along on official state visits. What kind of 'strong' woman would tolerate THAT?

Politcol wives know the score and if they don't they don't last. I for one have no problem with the Pres or anyone else having multiple lovers or even multiple relationships. I do not however approve of most of the lieing that goes along with so many peoples "secondary" relationships. If everyone is informed and consents (by not leaving, sometimes can be considered consent) then why have a problem?

I can think of so many MORE reasons to hate Babs and her offspring without venturing into their bedrooms.

7. "Jennifer from the State Department"

Poppa Bush apparently had a long running affair with someone named Jennifer who worked at the State Dept. He took her on trips with him (or she just happened to be there at the same time) but when it became obvious that he was going to run for the Presidency in the near future he was told to end it. He did and the story was kept out of the news as a beltway favor. This story was broke by...........Lucianne Goldberg, yeah her.

5. My opinion, FWIW

Let the right put up its paragons of virtue. We do the same thing. Let 'em enjoy whatever they want to say/think about the former first lady.

That said: Scoff at the children, but not the mother.

Didn't bother to visit Noel when she was fighting through drug rehab, but showed up next week for Jeb's debate against McBride.

Come to think of it, at that Court date for progress in Orlando, they had to send in the Aunt from Virginia (last name not Bush of course) to stand up with her because papa Jeb and Uncle Shrub were in Daytona doing a $1.5 million dollar fundraiser.

Only other member of the family I can recall who stood up with her in that very bad time was her older brouther. Guess he is a "darkie" too, so that makes sense.
