Robert Gates is giving President Bush his daily briefing and concludes by stating that Billyskank wants to be reminded to buy bread.

"Wait a minute," Bush interrupts. "You're not Rummy."
"No, sir," says Gates. "Secretary Rumsfeld resigned, and anyway Rummy was your nickname in college."

The President is uncharacteristically thoughtful for a moment, then says "In that case, tell Billyskank that I could sure go for a rye."

"Rye bread, sir," says Gates. "A fine suggestion."

"Wait," sez the Prez. "We're talking about about bread now?"
