Thank goodness, I have all the food bought, prepared, and waiting to be cooked. But, I have to finish cleaning up the house – my least favorite task.... x( So, what are your last minute preparations for Thanksgiving? :)

7. Watch out for airport madness.
Anytime I have to pickup someone from the airport during the holidays I cringe. It seems like everyone forgets the rules of the road and drives however the hell they feel like driving! :scared:

Enjoy the time with your family though. :)

6. Thaw out the apple pie filling I made with our first apple harvest
Make the pies (one apple, one blueberry- Havocdad seems to be part bear and LOVES his berries)

Bring some champagn up from the cellar to chill in the fridge.

Oh, is there supposed to be anything else for supper tomorrow? Hmmm, I have lots of cheese... ;)

9. Fresh apple pies...
delicious! :9 My family leans more towards sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving. It was a nightmare trying to get all the strings out, but the end product makes the hellish preparation worth it. A little bubbly for the adults is always a plus!

And who needs supper when you can eat cheese for Thanksgiving. :P

8. Not last minute - I'm just starting, but shopping is complete
Today I will bake the pies (pumpkin and apple), make the cranberry sauce, and cook the yams in preparation for making candied yams tomorrow.

There will only be three of us, but I still have to make a feast :-).

14. A feast for three sounds good to me.
It translates into more holiday leftovers to go around. ;) I do prefer smaller holiday gatherings a little more than larger ones if I can have it -- less stress for all.

42. I still have to clean my house, but I'll get it done.
I told my sister not to bring the white gloves over. This will definitely be a "whisk and a promise" job.

I just can't get into Thanksgiving right now. I think it's the weather. It's too damn warm right now in Chicago. They're predicting temps in the upper 50's tomorrow. I need some cold weather to get into the holiday spirit..

Even though I don't live as far north as you, I do like to have cooler temps for the holidays. Hopefully, you'll get the temps that you desire for Christmas this year.

As long as people can sit down somewhere and there is no visible dirt or disarray your cleaning job should do the trick. ;)
