WTH?
Someone destroyed my mailbox. Looks like it was either shot at or struck with a baseball bat. It's in pieces scattered all over the place. This isn't the first time either. A few weeks ago, the door part was pulled off and thrown on the ground. I would say "damn kid pranks." However, my mailbox seems to be the only one ever touched on the whole road. My neighbor's is about 2 inches away from mine and is fully intact.

Who the hell did I piss off?

3. Heh
You may be on to something there. However since my mailbox is down a common drive and not in view of my house, no one driving by would ever see my van. So someone would have to have been following me down the road, and saw me pulling down the drive. Even if that was the case, how would they know which mailbox was mine? Unless, at that same time I stopped, got out of my car to get the mail.

I'm a detective, I tell ya.

:hi:

12. Good idea
Though I'm not sure how I would manage that. Like I said, the mailbox is quite a bit away from the house. I'd be afraid the camera getting swiped. LoL.

9. I'd booby trap it....
I had a problem a few years back with a neighborhood hoodlum hitting my garbage bags with his car.

One garbage bag full of bricks: about 25 bucks.
Watching his car get towed away while sipping my morning coffee: Priceless!

20. Nooooo... That wouldn't work for a mailbox...
and you wouldn't want to accidentally put your mailperson in the line of fire...

Hmmmmmm.... I'll have to think about this one....

19. Technically it's a felony to vandalize a mailbox
It seems like a little thing but you probably should report it to the police. They say you should notify the post office as well but what are they going to do?

Try not to take it personally because sometimes it's just totally random and maybe they just got scared off before they could smash the neighbors' box.
