Poll question: When will you start getting ready for Christmas 2004?
I'm a big Christmas fan, but I start the planning November 1. If I started earlier, it wouldn't seem special. They say that February is a good time to shop for the next year, but it is hard to know what everyone will want. Might sneak in a carol or two from internet radio in the summer if I'm tired of the heat.

3. I can't answer the poll...
...but as soon as I know Sapphocrat and I will be together for the holidays next year, is when I will begin planning. Otherwise, it is just another day to me.

5. I don't know, what is planning ?
If it's getting ideas in the back of my mind for next year, I'm already planning.

I don't want to buy too far ahead any more. Having a disaster strike your house -- I had an oak tree take out half my house last year -- makes you aware that buying ahead just gives you more to lose. :-)

7. Dec. 23
For heavens sakes, how long does it take to buy gift cards? Trees are also cheaper close to Christmas and if your throw enough tinsel on it it looks very festive. I send email Christmas cards. This nleaves me more time to watch and enjoy such quality TV shows as International Idol...

12. Depends on what happens in November '04.
Either I'll start buying presents or I'll be celebrating Christmas at the draft board.
