Airspace over DemoTex's NC house closed .
Please don't fly your airplane or helicopter over my house. It makes me and the dogs nervous. I have a slingshot and I will use it. Verb sap!

1. No balloons or gliders either!
I'm designating my house and land P-69. Bu$h's house is P-56. What will yours be? Better get it in writing now, before A$hcroft nullifies property rights for dissenters.

3. Sorry DT
Your house is directly between Toccoa and Asheville, a flight I routinely make just to have someplace to go. You'll just have to load up on ball-bearings for that sling-shot of yours cause I'm not altering my flight pattern. :)

4. Watchya flyin', YNGW?
I'll avoid your machine. You are absolutely correct about me being on that line between Toccoa and A-ville. Be careful, though. I'd rather Al Queda not know where I live. Bu$h sez they are after me.

9. Plane
Gotta 1963 Piper Cherokee 180. Fun to fly and it gets me from A to B.

6. Demo... did you see this?
http://nypost.com/news/regionalnews/14692.htm

The idiot claims to have confused the East and Hudson rivers. Hello? was his seeing-eye dog asleep?

Also, I have heard from an ATC employee that the much-vaunted F16 overflights of NYC which are still up there burining fuel for God knows what were alerted, but could not find said prop plane.

Even if they could find him, could they fly slow enough to ID him and take a shot?

8. I forgot to mention that it was an incredibly clear day
Unlimited vis, bright sunshine.

Methinks the "pilot" in question got carried away with his tour and forgot a few things.

Or, he really is a terrorist. I don't see any mention of Almanac's here, but they might not have reported that.

10. TFR's
If the guy went up and didn't know where the TFR's are, he ain't much of a pilot. That's a sure fire way to have a not-so-nice long chat with the FBI and other various agents. Not my cup of tea.

11. Remember the weather on 9/11/2001?
Severe clear. Lesson learned? Fly on days that the entire east coast is socked in. I'm serious as a heart attack!

12. Yeah, kind of hard to forget the weather that day if you were in NYC
It was a fantastic day, for a couple of hours anyway.
Yeah, I would rather have my pilots challanged with a little cross wind, rain and turbulance than falling asleep sightseeing or surfing the net.

BTW, here is your Christmas present... use it if you want, if not, I understand.

Cheers
Bill

14. I wish I could do the same!
aircraft fly over my backyard at 3000ft looking to intercept the localizer for BOS 22L and R.

I take my lunch by the sound.

12pm Aer Lingus A330 12:55 Lufthansa heavy, back to work.

4:55pm Virgin Heavy, 5:45pm British Heavy. 6:10 Swissair A330 quitting time.

I like airplane noise to be honest but I dont like the idea of big iron in my backyard.

15. Not even to drop supplies, Mac?
You know, a case of good wine, some sterling reading material, long-life candles, blankets and what-not?

You'll know it's us; the rotor blades spin to the left. :D

Hope you're taking care of yourself, my friend.
