Zune install screen raises eyebrows
Though by the looks of it, one may wonder if Microsoft is trying to raise something else entirely with the male buyers of the Zune.

Best Buy put the Zune on sale earlier than it should have — the Zune's supposed to be released in the U.S. next Tuesday — and some people took advantage of that to get their Zune early. Not everyone had as much fun with it, however, as one person reported a crashing installation sequence of the Zune software, and added various screenshots of the install routine. The crash screen itself is, well, questionable at best — in terrible taste at worst.

6. Nor do I.
It's a strange choice for a photo, but I think to see it as sexual you have to really WANT to see it that way. I assume that it's meant as a photo of someone who's just fallen down.

Imagine spending $399 for Vista Ultimate, then going out and buying a $249 Zune, only to find out Microsoft's own product doesn't work with Windows Vista.

37. How is Vista anyway? Is it worth it to upgrade?
I don't really know if I want to get a zune...are any mp3 players combatable with Vista? It's not at the top of my list of priorities but I would like a new computer sometime this year.

10. The Top Girl Obviously Crashed Down On The Other Two, With The One Showing Pain Due To The Crash.
This is only sexually suggestive if someone wants it to be. To some, any time two young women are in close vicinity to each other they find it to be sexually suggestive; a mindset I consider to be quite pathetic.

Once again, this is just simply a non-story in my opinion.

13. Might be.
I'm absolutely certain the microphone/blowjob ad was designed to have sexual undertones, and 50/50 on the orgasm/crash one. Ad companies rarely leave branding to chance.

17. Orgasm? ROFL!!!!! Give Me A Break. The Last Thing That Girl Looks Like She's Having Is An Orgasm.
To see that girl in anything other than pain is evidence of one's own mind convincing themselves of something that isn't reality. Her expression isn't even close to being one of sexual pleasure and is blatantly one of significant pain. I'm cracking up at these perceptions.

As far as the other ad goes: Gee, imagine sexuality being used in ads. I mean, never happens, right? I see no problem whatsoever with their marketing in that one. But there ain't no way in hell I'm gonna give credence to a concept of that girl appearing to be having an orgasm.

25. I don't think it's the most natural interpretation
But, having it pointed out to me, I can see how someone could see it as someone having an orgasm.

Still, there are plenty of things to criticize about the Zune without having to resort to this ridiculousness.

34. Touch is sexually suggestive...
Two women or two men, or a woman and a man in close proximity is sexually suggestive. Consult any episode of American Bandstand if you need to go back that far in history. Or are you a part of the New York trend that says cuddle parties aren't sexually suggestive? Puh leez.

It's a non story even if it is to be considered sexually suggestive... YAWN!

24. Of course if you believe this story about the name "Zune" it gets even better:
Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 10:42 PM by originalpckelly
Microsoft Zune, keep that in mind while you read this:
"Apparently, 'zoune' or 'bizoune' are colloquial and rather more polite ways of referring to male/female genitalia, particularly when speaking to children. We assume the fact checker on the Zune project at MS has already got the pink slip."

http://www.insanely-great.com/news.php?id=6505

Microsoft Zune, man there are going to a lot of Quebeckers dying of laugher.

35. It makes sense...
Since the crowning feature of the Zune is the ability for two Zunes to have "mate" wirelessly and transfer mp3s (and one would assume viruses/STDs).
