You know... I really wish I had ENJOYED that more.
In hindsight, Tuesday night at the election party I went to for our local Dem I was a bit fuzzy and buzzed (not from drinking but from standing in the rain all day with breaks to go home and then going to another precinct).
I remember watching the returns for awhile at the party and then coming home. And still being fuzzy. I feel like I'm just now waking up. :hi:
The nice thing about this election cycle is the Dems get to be in the driver seat for at least two years, so there's lots of time to celebrate, and hopefully many additional reasons to celebrate in the next two years.
2. I kept thinking that something horrible was going to happen
like Florida in 2000 ... Maybe Brit Hume would break into all the teevee newscasts and say: "Ha ha, suckers! We won it all again!" :scared: So the fear kept me from truly enjoying it ... until people from all over the world started checking in here and congratulating Americans. That made me verklempt.
I've been in a haze all week. I'm just now slowing down...but I don't feel like I got my quota of enjoyment out of it because I was running around for various reasons all week! Don't you just wish life had a re-wind button sometimes?
