If you go back to the Windows Update site (
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) there is a link to "View Installation History" and you can see what was installed when. Note the number that appears in most every update description (sometimes they start with a Q, sometimes not). If you then go into Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs, scroll to the bottom to see the listing of installed hotfixes. Match the number you wrote down from the Windows Update page to the hotfix number, and you can uninstall it. That
may undo the damage.
Odd that the same problem would happen in Mozilla though.
Anyway, to bring your Favorites over to Mozilla:
In IE, click File.. Import and Export. Run the Wizard to export your Favorites to a file. Have it save the file to your Desktop, or another folder where you will be able to find it. Then go into Mozilla, click Bookmarks.. Manage Bookmarks. Then click Tools.. Import, find the file you created from IE, and click Open to bring them in.
