2. One of Will Pitt's books
I particularly enjoyed "The Greatest Sedition is Silence".

Anythign by Molly Ivins or Jim hightower would be a good read too.

3. I wish that I got that gift
I got $50 gift certificates to two restaurants and Sears. I probably did get $50 worth of books, which I'll read. I probably could easily spend a $500 gift certificate at Barnes&Noble. The latest book that I bought there was "The Sense of Being Stared at and Other Aspects of the Extended Mind." It was a rather interesting book about the author's scientific evidence and theory of ESP. I thought that it was a cool book and have lent it to two other people. Some people aren't open to or interested in such things though. Buy the two books that you say that you want. I'm not sure of their current prices. How much money or any will you have left from your gift card if you buy those two?

4. Have you read any of Russ Kick's books?
They're the ones published by the Disinformation Company. I recently bought "You Are Being Lied To" and "Everything You Know Is Wrong." Both of these are very informative and he's come out with some others, too.

7. Any book by Joseph Campbell
Years and years ago, magic happened. It was Christmastime and I was repairing a garage door for a professor of sociology. He had a beard like Santa and, as I worked on the door (believe it or not) we began discussing Jung.

He told me that if I was interested in Jung, I should pursue Joseph Campbell's writings.

I did, and I wasn't disappointed.

14. We have that and all the others ...
... and we have the six-tape set of his discussions with Bill Moyers. Maybe I'll just plug that in today during this dark and rainy holiday season.

10. Oh I was afraid someone would ask that.
If I had to round out the list to 5 picks, without the 2 you have already read, I'd say:

15. Yes.
The corporation that owns Target contributes to the community & I believe working conditions are far better than WalMart's. Target stores tend to be clean & pleasant.

You will have no problem finding something (or some things) you like for $25.
