DU Poster Appreciation Thread, Redux
In a flash of light, and a faint odor of Coronado Anejo, it came to me. I think I've found a way to avoid turning this into a popularity contest.

Find a thing about the previous poster you want to thank them for, and hit "reply"! It's that easy, a long chain of thanks!

If you don't recognize the poster whose turn it is (and please, try not to break in elsewhere to thank someone, as tempting as it might be), take the opportunity to check out what they might have written. Or, you could wait until someone more familiar with their time at DU thanks them. I'm looking forward to learning about people I don't know well -- yet!

So again, try to just thank the last person who thanked someone, and we might get through this! I'll start by thanking everyone! I value this place more than words can say, although goodness knows I've tried to say it with a whole lotta words! Thanks! :)

Once we get past me, this should be a piece of cake!

1. well Robb, I always enjoy how you include
"Robb is a dingbat" in your polls, with the full knowledge that someone will choose that option (I always do, I can't help myself!)

4. I'd like to thank all the BBV researchers
Who, despite poor leadership and contrary personality conflicts, managed to make a difference; to hold politicians of all stripes feet to the fire; to exhibit tenacity and make a difference on the single issue which affects us all the most.

A big thank you to ParanoidPat, Gristy, Junkdrawer, Eloriel, DEMActivist, Shirlden, Jim March, and all the others I forgot to mention. And a special thank you to TinfoilhatProgrammer, Cocoa and Fredda who forced them to refine and refute the defenses offered by the contrarians.

8. DS1, you are a class act. Your post's always give us smiles'
But your insane single-mindedness on apostrophes is really what makes us love you the most. I mean, with all the world's ills, to take the simple apostrophe and champion it's proper use, it is just heartwarming, it really is. People like you who stand up for the little things in life are the true saviours of society. Where would the uneducated bastards go after apostrophes? Might they start misusing commas? Ellipsi? Shocking. Heaven forbid, they might start writing fragmentary sentances full of rambling insipid insanity about punctuation...

Oops.

Well, DS1... I love ya. How about that? Will that do?

7. I want to thank everyone here at the DU.
We here at the DU may differ in tastes in music, movies or whatnot...but we all have something in common. And that is that we want our country back again...from those who would steal the values that we cherish....personal freedoms and liberties...the belief in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights...the right of religious freedom...and the necessity of freedom FROM religion, if that's your belief...the recognition that we ALL have a place at the table...regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation...the rights of the working man and woman, the poor...the have nots in this society.

And that's why I like...and feel that I belong...here at the DU. And I want to thank all of you for helping to make the DU an oasis of liberalism and compassion.

9. I'd like to thank the other DUers who are my age around for
being my comrades :). Plus they have excellent insight, a sense of humor, and it is an honor to fight Bush with them. If I go to Gitmo these are some of the people I want with me :).

I appreciate your friendship, I also really think you're a great person as well, and thanks for helping me out that time with my childish crush, oy I was so embarassed but you were the first person I told about that, and you helped me out, and it was a fairly easy thing to do. You and Zack I think were my first really good friends here, thanks.

15. my thanks to Robb
for reminding me daily of Edith telling Archie, "STIFLE!" Inexplicably, I always think of that scene from "All In The Family" when I think of "dingbat."

My thanks also to Robb for lightening our days w/ his wit.
