Does anyone watch the show Most Haunted on Travel Channel
Anyone in the UK?

If you've seen the show Scariest Places on Family Channel it's similar to that.

They're doing a live show for Halloween, it's been on 2 night, tonight's the last.

Last night while the crew was investigating a vault in Edinburgh Scottland, several of the crew suddenly had deep gashes appearing on their legs and backs - I supposed it could have been faked, but if it was real, real cuts, who would go to those lengths for a TV show. Or - if the cuts were real, and just appeared as they said, well, that was pretty damn freaky.

1. Niddry Street Vaults
It was an interesting show. My husband and I watched it for about 2 hours, then went up to the computer to do some research. We are going to be in Edinburgh the week before Christmas, staying in an apartment on the Royal Mile about 200 yards down from the Castle. We wanted to check where Niddry Street was in relation to our lodging. Turns out its about a quarter mile away. While I probably won't go or do one of the ghost tours, my husband and his 26 year old daughter very likely will. It's not that I have anything against ghost tours, but I'll have to stay with the 4 year old who doesn't do spooky very well yet.

2. Tell them to stay out of the circle!
I went on the Jack the Ripper tour in London - not something I'd do again but it was pretty interesting.

3. I wanted to send an e-mail to the show in annoyance
when at the beginning of the show the male communicator - David I think his name was - walked into the ritual area with the altar, picked up the athame and did the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. That really bothered me. You never, ever pick up somebody else's ritual tools without their consent. And the blonde nattering on about "the dark arts" - oh please. It looked like it was a ritual space set up for Samhain circle. I loved the two columns and the pentacle floor covering too. Very nice, as were the seats around the perimeter of the circle.
