Embarrassing Photo Thread.. Post a pic you shouldn't

Oh the shame.

I came across and unlabeled disk tonight. It was of photo's of me and Alison on our first hike. We had only been dating about 3 months, and I showed her Switzer's Falls Just North of L.A. in the San Gabriel Mountains.

Ali wanted a picture of me so I pose on the same log only farther over the pool.



Guess how cold the water was..

Ali is laughting so hard the camera can't keep up.



Now to destroy the disk while Ali sleeps..

18. OK... I was in this situation a week ago...

The pics are not of my boat, but I was in an identical situation. Hard aground, at night, by myself, and it was COLD!!

A friend gave me some crucial assistance, a couple of strangers were angels to me, and I used some imaginative seamanship to extricate myself when the tide came in a little after midnight. And I was able to get my boat safely to the dock (my actual boat):



I learned some important lessons that night!!:blush:

I actually was in a bit more danger a few days later. I was moving my boat about 40 miles to a winter storage location... steady 25 knot winds, gusting to 40, I was cold and wet and my autopilot failed. That meant I had to steer the boat full time with one hand, and do all kinds of stuff (like navigate) with the other.

Fortunately nothing else went wrong and I made it safely to the marina. But I was exhausted, cold and damn tired.

More lessons learned!
