Just got back from the NJ Marriage Equality Rally.

I wasn't able to hear the beginning speeches, due to screaming kids in the back, but eventually those parents got the hint and left. The speeches from the leaders of NOW and GLAAD were very good. The NOW speaker had a very good line: "The rest of the country may choose to go to hell in a handbasket, but New Jersey takes care of their own." The leader of the ACLU was there, along with about 20 clergy members. The place was packed to the rear wall. They certainly got a bunch of people into that church. There were news crews there from ABC, NBC, CBS, CW, and NJ12. Oddly, I didn't see a van there from Fox. I didn't get many pictures because my camera kept trying to focus on the balloon strings everywhere. Only one came out even somewhat decent.
