I didn't get the number of matches in a book (I'm used to a box of matches).

I though F.M. went to 89 not 88.

T.V. dial? No idea. The only ones I've seen with a dial had a infinite number because it just turned.

went the other way.

Although I think an answer of "10" for "sides on a stop sign" should be a legitimate - and the more correct - answer.

And I think one could make an argument that the answer to number 2 is not 50 - Massachussetts, as one example, is a commonwealth and not a state, and Texas is a republic, if memory serves.

...is a bit of an urban myth. The direction of swirl depends far more on the shape of the tub than on the Coriolis force. You can make the water swirl either way, no matter what hemisphere. I think I remember the Mythbuster guys proving this.

Also, Stop signs have two sides. They have edges.
