Hey Oedi! Question about the lamp you bought
did you find any sites that just sold the bulbs and not the entire lamp?

:)

2. Hey, I'm buying two full-spectrum lights this week
for my studio: ceiling mounted fixtures with full-spectrum bulbs to simulate natural daylight.

I just looked at your link and saw that the full-spectrum florescent tubes there are around $8 each. Mine are CHF 39.80 ($31.39 USD). :yoiks:

6. Either that, or somebody lives in a country
where the folks who make those bulbs are paid a living wage.

14. I must confess: I have absolutely no idea.
I found it months ago and it was sitting on my desktop, and I saw it this morning and finally uploaded it to my photobucket account. I thought it'd be a great to use in, oh-I-dunno, General Discussion, perhaps?

Feel free to steal it from me. :hi:

8. It depends on where you buy them from.
I find that they're way cheaper at hardware stores than at pet shops or garden centers. Considering they start to lose their full effects after about six months, I learned to do my shopping for the lizard's bulbs at the hardware store.

9. The full-spectrum studio lights aren't sold in the DIY stores here.
Believe me, I've looked. The next option is to buy these tubes in the custom lighting store, and I haven't even asked there because I priced some gallery lights there and was blown away by the prices. :scared: So I'm just ordering my full-spectrum lights from the art supplies place when I get all of my painting stuff. Sometimes, it's just easier to pay the middle price than to go looking all over hell's half-acre for the cheapest bulb supplier.
