The RetroLounge Daily Poem Thread (Mon 10/23/06)
Somewhere or Other

Somewhere or other there must surely be
-The face not seen, the voice not heard,
The heart that not yet - never yet — ah me!
--Made answer to my word.

Somewhere or other, may be near or far;
-Past land and sea, clean out of sight;
Beyond the wandering moon, beyond the star
--That tracks her night by night.

Somewhere or other, may be far or near;
-With just a wall, a hedge, between;
With just the last leaves of the dying year
--Fallen on a turf grown green.

Christina Rossetti

8. Uh, well, it's sort of good news. (He's gay.)
And more power to him, with the gayness and the happy life he may build from it. I always thought my soul brother would hold some potential as a life partner, though, which well, not so much in this case. But it's nice to have brushed up against him in this life, even if he won't be a part of my journey in this life cycle in "that" way.

11. How can one tell if one has met their twin soul?--
Are you sure he is twin soul or perhaps he is a soul mate or just a kindred spirit. I thought we had several soulmates but that there is only ONE twin soul:shrug:

Anyway it is always nice(!) to meet up with family whatever form they have taken on for this journey.:hug::hi:

12. Uhhhh, it's a little complicated. I might have to PM you.
For various reasons, after a couple of days of knowing him, I knew it was "him." Even if I hadn't had a little inside information from my favorite readers, which I did, I like to think I would have "known." And after I realized it, I could feel it.

4. My dear Retro..........
Ah, how lovely and poignant this is....

The heart yearning for the love it knows is out there somewhere.........

I've had these thoughts as well...but have not been able, as yet, to write them down this exquisitely ........

Thank you......:hug:
