1. Well, judging on the available evidence...
...it seems to be virtually impossible for us humans. The one thing there will never be a shortage of on this planet is busybodies.

4. Because some people think it's their right to tell others
how to live,, what's wrong with their lives, what's bad about their choices, what they should do, what they shouldn't do, blah, blah, blah. If those people would pay a little more attention to themselves and THEIR lives, and less attention to telling the rest of the world how to live, the world would be a much better place.

8. Largely, yes
People who can't control their own lives are more likely to try to control others'.

They don't realize that control is an illusion.

that the only way to the father is through the son, therefore you must believe everything your redneck retarded pastor says because your religion is the only true religion, and if you are right about religion, then you are right about everything else??????

19. because we judge
Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 05:33 AM by buddhamama
sometimes our judgements come from our own insecurities, other times they are based on our ideals and principals.

20. Because of people's insecurities.

For instance, gay marriage is a threat to a patriarchal society.

21. It isn't hard to live by.
It's a matter of choice. Those that choose not to "live and let live" do so out of selfishness (in most cases, but not all...depends on the situation).

23. I think it's 'cause
there's at least a little bit (and, in some cases, quite a bit more than that) of the judgmental control freak in all of us. I actually think that's good to a certain point; if everyone were truly and totally "live and let live" no one would care about anything and humankind would destroy itself. But people who make the point of their lives to obsess over what others do in their lives for whatever reason do tend to be pretty obnoxious.
