DSL guys just showed up on my porch.
Told them I already had it. They weren't very cute.

1. Did they tell you that you'd go to hell unless you used THEIR DSL?

3. Nah...AT&T has pretty much a monopoly here....
Unless you want the monopoly cable provider...

I keep remembering when they split up Ma Bell. Now that AT&T has become bigger than Ma Bell ever imagined itself being, I keep wondering when we'll see history repeat itself.

And I figure I am going to hell anyway.

2. You didn't ask them if they wanted to come in and pray with you?
;-)

5. Yes, but they said it was my monthly invoice....

You mean I don't get this for free? Like my cable TV???*

* Cable TV service is included in the condominium monthly assessment...same as essential items like heat. But because it is an invisible charge, I believe that it is free.

6. Maybe best not to throw it away.
Did you ask them how to tap into the neighbors' wireless DSL?

7. I am not wireless...
People across the hall don't have a computer, unit next to me is vacant. No clue about above.

And this is a copycat.... ;)

9. Actually, my sweetie suggested tapping others' wireless if possible...
But I don't own a laptop. Yet. One day. It's an intriguing thought to borrow. Though I do have a brother-in-law who could easily install wireless technology here. Sweetie isn't so good at it....

But isn't Chicago a tad far away from you? And there is STILL the matter of lacking a laptop.

As amusing as your husband is, you need to kick him off the computer more often.

14. oh no...
i have my own laptop, hence the letting you "borrow" my wireless connection! I got the laptop from my mom. We bought her a new desktop when we went to FL last month on Vacay. so she gave me her laptop! matcom went out and hooked me up to wireless and bought me a web cam, speakers and a mic! He really is a good hubby...just don't tell anyone, don't want to ruin his rep, you know!!!
