How many plan on going to the Iowa Caucus?

My Caucus site is only half a block away.

It's a great 'experience,' one I enjoyed from the 72 to the 88 election.

I'll be going but I'm not sure where yet. I'd like to go down south and emerse myself in where the major hoopla will take place. BUT.....I'll more than likely stay closer to home.

13. My daughter is going.

She lives in Ames and goes to Iowa state. She is very involved in the Democratic party on campus, and has been to caucus training, too. I am glad she registered out there. (I live in Illinois).

She was working for Kerry, but is p.o.'d with him right now. I am glad she met so many candidates and went to the Jefferson Jackson dinner, and the steak fry.

I expect her, and some of you DUers to tell me about the caucuses when they are over.

14. We are planning a DU meet-up in Des Moines, probably on Saturday

the 17th.

No definate place has been determined yet but it looks like Saturday is working out the best for most everyone.

I'll post something in the Lounge in a week or so about it. It does look like there is enough interest so far in a DU get together for that weekend to organize something.

This is exciting! A caucus weekend! And I love meeting DUers! :D

Why don't you join your daughter and come join us on Saturday. :D

As you may know over 2500 Dean people have gone to Iowa to canvas. They are crashing like everywhere--folks have opened their homes to the campaign there, what groovy vibes.... and Southwest gave us a price break.

Why if I were 20 years younger and didn't have this business to run, I'd be SO there! Plus I could hang with YOU Booberdawgie :P

Actually, there is at least 1 DUer from So Cal that I know of that is going to be here in Iowa for the caucus. :)

I have this post listed in the GD's too, and through PM's I can tell you that so far there are DUers attending from Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinios, Missouri, Calif, and of course all over Iowa.

And we can smoke in the bars here!
