In the past year LeftyKid also went from a 4T to starting to outgrow a size 6.

That's my scrawny, half-starved kid for you. :eyes:

3. He is.
The funny thing is that his Dad's a short fat guy and only 3" taller than me. He'll probably taller than him by the time he's ten or eleven.

2. He is SUCH a cutie-pie!!
My son was the same way, though he'd completely stop growing for the longest time... then one day I'd look at him and it was liked grown 5 inches overnight!

4. He definitely grows in spurts.
It's very predictable. Every time I buy him new pants he sprouts up a few inches right after I take the tags off. :eyes:

17. that is definitely the way to get a kid to grow
My daughter does the same thing. I buy her new pants, she grows soon after. It's as if her body craves that horrible high waters look.

20. LOL!

Is that why moms buy clothes 1 size too big and insist "you'll grow into it?"

10. OMG, I remember a customer's kid that liked it, too.
The boy was about 10 years old and he walked up to his mom with a pint of Santa Cruz lemon juice. The convo went like this:

Kid: Mom, will you buy this for me?
Mom: No.
Kid: But I like to drink lemon juice.
Mom: Yeah, but it's really weird, so I'm not buying it.

Thier lime juice, too. He won't drink the others (ReaLemon or whatever) but he'll polish off a whole bottle of that stuff if I don't watch him.

11. Nah, my sister drank it starting really young and I got into it in HS.
I'm short. She's tall. Obviously her growth was not being stunted by it.

13. Good morning, my dear LeftyMom!
Well...obviously your vegan diet is just no damn good! J/K!

He is seriously a beautiful child!

Good luck with the growing and keeping him clothed.......

I also hear that when he hits puberty.....look out!

BTW........I am going nuts waiting! Wish they'd make up their minds...

15. Yep, he's starving for sure. :)
He's going to be a big kid. I checked a couple of different height predictors. The ones based on parent height say he'll be about 5'7", since his Dad and I are short. All the men on my side are really tall though, so I checked one based on his growth curve and it says he'll be 6'1". That's a hair taller than my Dad and I think probably closer to the truth.

I'm looking forward to his teenage years, I can't wait to see how he'll turn out. :)

23. OMG, when he's a teen you're going to be pulling your hair out.
Invest in wigs now. Seriously, he's going to have girlfriends lined up, and he's going to be eating you out of house and home.

I fully expect that I'll have to beat the girls off of him with a stick. Maybe if I get him into one of my really geeky hobbies that'll keep that to a minimum.

26. I'd suggest teaching him collectible card games
because that's guaranteed to turn him into an un-datable geek, but CCGs are expensive.

Can you get him addicted to bad sci-fi shows? :)

28. He's already addicted to classic Trek. I suppose I could teach him to role
play. Nothing repells girls quite like odd dice. Would some of the White Wolf stuff work or should I go with the heavy duty girl repellent and teach him D&D?

37. Cigarettes and Coffee should stunt his growth.
(Note to the humour-challenged: Yes, I'm kidding. The kid is obviously a healthy little cutie pie and I don't believe for a minute that LeftyMom would ever do anything to cause him bodily harm.)
