The former since we stood on the lakeshore with the lady minister and some friends and family, the latter since she pulled up in a rented white Canyonero full of children and dog and bric-a-brac. The ides of October was an accident, it never was intended to be a day of any import; and yet it's been the most important day the world has ever known, at least from my (admittedly egoistic) perspective.

For someone with the tendency to say a lot about such things, I'm really pretty much functionally retarded at truly expressing what I want to. How can you really tell someone what they mean to you? Feelings are not words, they're not symbols, nor are they anything that can be experienced sensually; and yet I *do* experience them sensually, with everything I am.

There's really not much that can be said, I think. I've said it all over the past two years, I'll continue to say it for the rest of my life. No need to belabor the point here, so I'll just cut to the chase: I fucking love you, Diane. Thank you for sharing your life with me.
