dodged the bullet today.
I accidentally put my USB Flash Drive in the wash. It also went through the dry cycle.

I booted up my old computer, plugged the drive in and it worked! No data lost.

You have any similar stories?

6. Hey, I am glad I do not have to buy a new one. I use it more than my
ethernet. By the time I have the network fired up, I could have the data installed on the other machine.

4. Maximum PC magazine did a test this month
...doing the same thing along with stuff like freezing them or dropping them off a building. They're surprisingly sturdy...
