Poll question: Poll for Harry Potter fans -- Am I pathologically insane?
I find Severus Snape kind of sexy...the whole dungeon thing....the dark, brooding, mysterious keeper of secrets.....the checkered past and the courage he exhibits in being Dumbledore's spy now...and I just woke up from a dream that, well, I'm embarrassed to talk about, but basically it involved me, Severus, the dungeon, and the fact that I'd been a baaaaaad little Gryffindor.

Should I go to therapy now? What do you think? Cast your votes below. Thank you!

2. You think?
Hagrid's so darn soft-hearted. I'd have to be, like, a lot healthier than I am to want a guy like Hagrid. He'd be all sweet and attentive and nurturing. LOL.

4. Have you read Order of the Phoenix?

It may just be wishful thinking on my part, but there seemed to be a deeper....subtext....between him and Harry.

There's a whole school of literary criticism that reads the HP series as pro-gay (because their hero is a guy who's different and accepts himself anyway, among other things).

On Edit: wishful thinking on my part because I, alas, am not enrolled at Hogwarts. Harry might as well get to do Severus if I can't. Sigh.

7. Well, well, well..
I kinda have these thoughts myself... just shy to admit it. I find Snape weirdly appealing. And I wonder if I had to choose among the four houses, I'd rather be in Slytherin (where all the bad guys come from -- very baad.) ;-)

You are not alone.

8. I have the same thoughts.
Although, if I got to pick, I'd pick to be in Gryffindor and just try to date a Slytherin boy on the sly. See, Slytherin friends won't risk their life to save you. Gryffindor friends will.

Although, based on my understanding of the criteria for sorting, I'd be like Hermione -- it would seriously consider Ravenclaw for me, hem and haw a bit, and then decide on Gryffindor.

It's fun to try to put people I know, or celebrities, into the Houses.

* would be in Slytherin, without a doubt. "Those cunning folk use any means to achieve their ends."

Also, the whole disdain for "mudbloods" thing fits the GOP like a glove.

9. I'm still in mourning over the loss of Sirus ......
Now he would make a good fantasy subject.

10. Do you read any fan fiction?
The OVERWHELMING majority of fan fiction I've read, in many different places, has Sirius and Remus as lovers.

I always pictured him as a ladies' man type, but I seem to be the only one.

13. I think so. :-)
Remus is a great character (and JK Rowling has said in interviews that he's her favorite). I love the way he handled Harry in the 3rd year. Fantastic teacher.

20. Well, they are both dogs
So in a way, it does make sense. Though I do see Sirius as a ladies man during his Hogwarts days.

22. FF addict here
And it all began with a Google search for info on whether Snape had a sister. I totally concur with you about Professor Snape. My BF has discovered all of my Severus fanfic links and has been mocking me mercilessly, though he is impressed that I went for the dark, intelligent guy with a past and substance rather than a flashy Adonis.

One of my other favorite pairings is Draco and Ginny; it's so Romeo and Juliet, with wands.
